MY APPROACH
I’m transparent when I work with clients influenced from evidence-based approach, value of collective liberation, and the Buddhist teachings from Lama Rod Owens, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Pema Chödrön
When you work with me as a client and are able to:
- Trust the therapeutic process
- Consistent in our work
- Learn the mental health and life tools I provide
- Use the support systems you have within yourself and what’s available for you
You can reach a level of awareness that you have the sense of agency to choose the life you create for yourself in tandem with the current systems in place and the chaos or distraction happening in the world.
We’re able to have a space to pause and understand what informs our actions and emotions that contribute to our individual experience.
When we have clarity on how we function in the world, we can change from how we react to situations to how we respond based on our own values.
Who this work is for
I work with clients who are ready to learn more about themselves, move through the world in their authentic self, prepared to pursue their goals in therapy and out in the world.
Though I can match many client’s reasonable expectations of what to receive in therapy, receive in therapy, I’m not going to meet what everyone is looking for in a therapist and that’s okay.
Due to certain life factors I experience, my work with clients is not in a capacity to meet with clients who require consistent immediate care or more intensive care than weekly outpatient therapy and clients with recent (within the past year) inpatient care.
I meet with clients on a regular weekly basis, with some flexibility on rescheduling within the same week.
